Installation of HG8310M Fiber ONU





 



01 - First up is our original power adapter. Here you can see the model number, trial voltage and current, manufacturer information and service life of the power adapter. It is important to note here that the original power adapter must be used to connect the optical modem, otherwise the optical modem will be easily damaged.



02 - Plug the power socket of the original power adapter into the power socket, and plug the round plug at the other end into the power socket of the Huawei fiber optic ONU. Now the power indicator light is on and the fault indicator light is on red, indicating that the fiber optic signal is unavailable.



03 - Now remove the protective cover of the optical fiber interface (note that the optical fiber interface must be kept clean and free of dust, otherwise it will affect the signal quality), and then insert it into the optical fiber socket of the optical fiber ONU.



04 - Then plug one end of the RJ-45 network cable with a crystal head into the intranet socket of the fiber optic modem, and the other end into the network cable socket of the computer. The connection is now complete.



05- Let's take a look at the power indicator light. The power indicator light displays normally, and the fiber optic indicator light also flashes, indicating that there is a signal.

1. Plug the output line of the broadband modem into the WAN port of the broadband router, and use a straight-through twisted pair network cable to connect the router LAN port to the computer network card.



2. Turn on the power of the broadband modem and router.



3. In the address bar of the computer's IE browser window, enter 192.168.1.1 and hit "Go" to open a dialog box asking for a user name and password.



4. Enter "admin" in the user name and password text boxes respectively, confirm, and open the configuration interface of the device.



5. In the routing network connection wizard, select "WAN port" and "PPPOE protocol" (be careful not to select dynamic or static), then enter the telecom broadband account and password, and select: automatic dialing in the advanced options.



6. After the configuration is completed, turn off the power of the router and then restart it.
